Year 4 Retreat Day

Our Year 4 pupils from St Cuthbert’s, Crook took part in a special retreat day at St John’s Catholic School & Sixth Form College, centred around the theme “Build a Better World.” During the visit, the children were invited to think carefully about how the values they learn in school can be lived out in everyday life. They moved thoughtfully between a range of prayer and reflection stations, each encouraging pupils to consider themes such as caring for others, belonging to a community and taking responsibility for the world around them.

A Dino‑Sized Start to the Term in Class 1

What an exciting way for Class 1 to start the new term — with a mystery and a very special visitor! When the children arrived at school, they were amazed to discover some very large and unusual footprints on the classroom floor. Next to the footprints was a box containing a special message, which we read together. The excitement only grew when we opened the box to find a brand‑new storybook… and six dinosaur eggs!
