Our Year 5 pupils had a fantastic time taking part in the OAA Festival at Hamsterley Forest! Throughout the day, the children enjoyed a range of exciting outdoor activities, including den building, team challenges and learning important survival skills. It was wonderful to see them embracing the outdoors and making the most of such a unique experience.
Today, Class 1 had the exciting opportunity to use the Chromebooks as part of their learning. The children explored computer programming through a fun and engaging activity, playing a game featuring the Big Bad Wolf. As they worked through the challenges, they collaborated brilliantly, supporting each other to solve the puzzles and develop their problem-solving skills.
Pupils at St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School in Crook enjoyed an exciting and memorable science experience during a special science show presented by the Royal Institution. The show captured the children’s imagination as they learned about nutrition, developing a better understanding of how food helps our bodies to grow, stay healthy and function well. Pupils were fully engaged throughout the session and enjoyed seeing scientific ideas brought to life in a fun and memorable way.
