Pupils from Class 3 at St Cuthbert's Catholic Primary School in Crook enjoyed an exciting educational visit to Segedunum Roman Fort and Museum today.
The children spent the day exploring the historic site and learning about life during the Roman Empire. As part of their visit, they marched like Roman soldiers and discovered how people lived, worked and defended the frontier nearly 2,000 years ago.
The hands-on experience helped bring their classroom learning to life, giving pupils the opportunity to step back in time and gain a deeper understanding of Roman history.
Throughout the visit, Class 3 explored the museum and fort, taking part in activities designed to help them understand what daily life was like during the Empire and the important role Roman soldiers played in protecting the region.
The trip was an enjoyable and memorable experience for all involved, combining history, learning and fun in a unique setting.
St Cuthbert's Catholic Primary School is proud to provide enriching educational opportunities that inspire curiosity and help pupils develop their knowledge beyond the classroom.
