Pupils at St Cuthbert's Catholic Primary School in Crook have been celebrating Black History Month through a range of creative art activities inspired by influential figures from history and the arts.
Throughout the day, children explored the lives, achievements and impact of Rosa Parks, Ruby Bridges, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Kimmy Cantrell. As part of their learning, pupils created artwork inspired by these individuals while developing their understanding of their contributions and significance.
The activities gave children the opportunity to combine creativity with learning, helping them reflect on the stories and achievements of people who have made a lasting impact in different ways.
The school was delighted with the fantastic artwork produced by pupils and is proud of the creativity, enthusiasm and thoughtfulness they demonstrated throughout the day.
Well done to all the children for their hard work and inspiring efforts as they marked Black History Month in such a meaningful and creative way.
