PCSO visit

We were delighted to welcome some very special visitors to St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School in Crook this week, as our Early Years and Key Stage 1 pupils enjoyed an exciting and educational visit from our local PCSO and her four‑legged partner, Ben the police dog.

The children were fascinated as they learned about the important role the police play in keeping our community safe. Our PCSO spoke to the pupils about personal safety, helping them understand how to stay safe at home, at school and when out and about.

Learning About Police Dogs

One of the highlights of the visit was learning about the vital work carried out by police dogs. The children were eager to hear how Ben helps support the police in their daily duties and were full of thoughtful questions about his training and role.

Visits like this are a wonderful way to bring learning to life, helping our youngest pupils build confidence, awareness and respect for those who help keep us safe.

A huge thank you to our local PCSO and Ben for taking the time to visit St Cuthbert’s and give our children such a memorable experience.
